Why Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie's Divorce Is Said To Be The Next … – TheThings

Published

on

Jolie and Heard have filed similar accusations against their ex-husbands.
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt still haven't finalized their divorce which the former filed in 2016 after two years of marriage. Now, the latter has moved on and is dating Paul Wesley's ex-wife, Ines De Ramon.
Meanwhile, the Salt actress was previously linked to The Weekend who was reportedly not approved by her kids. Jolie and Pitt may be exploring new things in their life and career, but they still have some issues in court.
Recently, they were even compared to Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's highly publicized post-divorce defamation trial. NBC News found that 12 YouTube channels alone made direct comparisons between the former couples.
With Jolie filing a countersuit against Pitt, accusing him of "physical and emotional abuse of her and their children," content creators can't help but think she might end up like Heard, whose domestic abuse allegations were "vilified" in court.
Interestingly, the Tomb Raider alum allegedly warned Depp about marrying the Aquaman actress as well…

In 2019, court ruled that Jolie and Pitt were legally single. "Their kids have a custody schedule and that's made a huge difference for the whole family," a source said at that time. "The schedule has alleviated any of the planning pressures Brad and Angelina have faced in the past. Now the kids spend time with both their parents and are happy and thriving."
They added that "While they don't agree about everything, they rarely argue now. Brad and Angelina are now at a point where they can discuss their children's plans calmly." But in March 2021, court documents stated that the Girl, Interrupted star was prepared to show "proof and authority" of domestic violence against the Fight Club actor.
An insider close to the case said that it was "another case of Angelina changing the narrative when it suits her." They noted that "aside from the one accusation that she made in 2016 that was investigated and dismissed, there have never been any other records, police reports or even accusations until it suited her case."
In May 2021, Pitt was finally granted joint custody of their kids. Two months later, Jolie had Judge John Ouderkirk dismissed from the divorce case after his undisclosed business affiliation with the former. Then there was the Miraval winery sale drama in February 2022, followed by FBI records of the Troy star's altercation with his estranged wife.
In June 2023, Vanity Fair published an exposé about "Pitt [being] prepared to buy Jolie out of her shares [in Miraval] but when she refused to sign an NDA regarding her allegations of domestic abuse, Pitt reportedly walked away from the negotiation," per ET Online.

Adrienne Lawrence, a media personality and former litigator said that "the things we saw, the memes, the clips of the trial, they were overwhelmingly going against Amber Heard. They overwhelmingly portrayed her as this femme fatale, as this untrustworthy individual." Many other content creators fear that Jolie is experiencing the same.
Lawyer Neama Rahmani also told Us Weekly that Brangelina's divorce battle could end up becoming like Heard and Depp's public legal drama. "There's so many allegations," said the attorney. "You've got family law, you've got custody, there's allegations of abuse, and obviously, you have a very valuable chateau that the two are fighting over."
Rahmani also weighed in on the winery sale that seems to have Jolie and Pitt stuck in court. "What Brad is arguing here is there was an agreement — it seems like it’s the handwritten, back of the napkin type agreement — where Angelina said 'I wouldn't do it,'" he said of Jolie's decision to sell her shares to a "Russian oligarch."
The legal counsel added that "sometimes when the court can't [decide], they might order just to sell. They might auction it off to a third party and have everyone just be paid out."
As a result, "This may end up being the next Johnny Depp, Amber Heard-type case because these two don't like each other, there's a lot of money at stake, the allegations are serious and I don't see a resolution happening anytime soon," said Rahmani.

In 2010, Jolie and Depp worked together on the film, The Tourist. Four years later, the National Enquirer reported: "Angelina Jolie is giving romance advice to old pal Johnny Depp warning him he may be making a big mistake marrying Amber Heard." At that time, the outlet's source said that "Angie is worried [Depp] is going through a midlife crisis and has become enchanted with the much-younger actress."
That said moment resurfaced during Depp's defamation trial against Heard. Jolie had never worked with the Edward Scissorhands star before The Tourist. The former said that they "just got put together in the film and we both like each other's movies, but had never met. And we met and we talked about kids for the first hour and France for the second and had a good laugh. We really enjoyed working with each other in the film and I hope that comes across."

What time is Anthony Joshua vs Robert Helenius today? Schedule, main card start time for 2023 boxing fight – Sporting News

Published

Former two-time heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua is determined to stay active, so when old foe Dillian Whyte was pulled from the O2 Arena card at just seven days’ notice, the immediate goal was to find AJ a replacement opponent.
Whyte failed a VADA test, so a long-awaited rematch with Joshua went down the drain, conceivably with his career as a serious heavyweight contender. Replacing him will be former two-time European champion Robert Helenius, who knocked off some ring rust on Saturday past by posting a third-round stoppage of the unknown Mika Mielonen.
