Boxing News: Jake Paul post fight presser » August 23, 2023 – Fight News
By Jeff Zimmerman
“The Problem Child” Jake Paul held court after defeating MMA superstar Nate Diaz by unanimous decision on Saturday night at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Just goes to prove that MMA cagefighters (despite practising boxing) are absolute trash, unless they wrestle you to the ground.
Its two completely different sports. Most fights outside of sporting events end up on the ground remember that.
He’s not fighting boxers. When he did, he lost. Make a fight with a legitimate boxer and maybe I’d care. It’s like a basketball player trying to hit a fastball, two totally different sports.
Michael Jordan did. Lol
Honestly disappointed with fightnews for covering so much of this nonsense pseudo boxing side show. I’d rather read random facts about real boxers that lived and died a hundred years ago than this. Whatever.
Let’s not forget… Paul was smacked around by Fury in a reality check that boxing is much harder than it looks. In fact, Fury, in my opinion, made Paul realize after their fight that there is so much more to boxing than just “hit, like, and subscribe” off YouTube where some backyard fighters are delusional armchair champions. Imagine if Paul would fight someone like Bivol at a catchweight? I am sure Paul would make some excuses after Bivol would demolish his amateurish skills. It’s cheap entertainment when the circus comes to town.
Boxing has changed because not too too long Foreman was knocking out 5 guys in one night. Ok so it was a long time ago still
Here’s the kicker though. Cheap entertainment or a circus whatever you want to call it and I agree with all those assessments. If it don’t make dollars it don’t make sense, that’s the really what strikes me. That people are really into this enough to fill an arena????? Are American fight fans that starved? Not me.
If the PPV networks and promoters would put their griefs and greed aside, then the bouts that bring news fans to boxing, can be made.
Why are people still going after Jake ???
He’s only got 9 or 10 fights!!!
You have Olympians that are still fighting bums after 20 fights!!
The difference is that he’s making money and that somehow upsets people!
He’s putting the work in and improving!
You can’t expect him to get in there with Bivol(as someone mentioned) or someone in the top 10!
Stop the nonsense, everyone of his opponents are getting super paid also.
Give him a break already.
Rigged fights and bought of judges what’s up the mob running Jake Paulie fights what a bum boxing match fightn tin can and tomato paste fights forget about it
I don’t think its rigged I just think all the advantages favor Paul to the extent its very hard for him to lose.
Diaz is smaller not a boxer and towards the end of his fighting career so Paul is going to have huge advantages.
And lets not forget Diaz cannot punch hard at all.
Diaz would have had to.knock Paul out to win I believe it’s rigged in that aspect. Boxing is not going to let its cash cow lose on points to an mma fighter. And Diaz isn’t going to let jake do any mma on him so jake better not bitch out now
Paul is pretty bad as a boxer – not horrible but nowhere near good enough to win a title in any division.
Great promoter because he is getting paid but as a true pro boxer he is below average.
Reminds me of the boxers they used to build up up back in the the day on ESPN and you just knew as soon as they stepped up they would get smashed.
Dude arrived at the arena on a tank…a TANK!! Wonder how he would do fighting once every few months against real boxers with crap records like most do to build up their records?
Lost to Fury, who is as close to a You Tube fighters as you can get, so that is the answer to that question.

What time is Anthony Joshua vs Robert Helenius today? Schedule, main card start time for 2023 boxing fight – Sporting News
Former two-time heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua is determined to stay active, so when old foe Dillian Whyte was pulled from the O2 Arena card at just seven days’ notice, the immediate goal was to find AJ a replacement opponent.
Whyte failed a VADA test, so a long-awaited rematch with Joshua went down the drain, conceivably with his career as a serious heavyweight contender. Replacing him will be former two-time European champion Robert Helenius, who knocked off some ring rust on Saturday past by posting a third-round stoppage of the unknown Mika Mielonen.

The good news is that Helenius is in fighting shape. The bad news is he’s been installed as a +1000 underdog to derail Joshua, who is looking for some ring time ahead of a potential showdown with former WBC champion Deontay Wilder.
Will Joshua swat Helenius aside and face “The Bronze Bomber”, or will “The Nordic Nightmare” produce one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight history?
Here’s all you need to know about Joshua vs. Helenius, including viewing details, prices, and more.
Joshua vs. Helenius will be on August 12. The main card starts at 7 p.m. local time, which is 2 p.m. ET and 11 a.m. PT.
Both fighters should make their way to the ring at around 10.15 p.m. BST (5.15 p.m. ET, 2.15 p.m. PT), depending on how long the undercard fights last. Here’s how that translates to different timezones globally:
